Learning curve

It was pointed out to me that my business website should be on WordPress.org not WordPress.com. WordPress is Open Source software, so there are plenty of developers as well as users.

I made the mistake of thinking that my user’s knowledge of WordPress would help in the building of a website. The in-depth knowledge of how to use ‘plugins’ and develop a customised ecommerce site for file transfers comes at a hefty cost.I have been quoted €3,000 by one developer.

I could just use standard website packages and rely on email for file transfer….I’ll have a think.
